Crowd-sourcing masterminds creators of interactive projects such as  TOKiMONSTA, MNDR, and Au Revoir Simone, fourclops::) released their latest work: TrueTube. Created for Avicii, TrueTube is a video remix site giving users the tools to create their own mashup videos, combining YouTube clips with tracks from the band’s hit album “True”.  The idea is based on the concept of synchronicity and was inspired by spectacular mashups such as The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” experience. Viewers can watch any of the thousands of user generated mashup videos, or test their own combining skills by making new projects. The creator page provides an easy-to-use online editing tool, allowing users to make personalized visual remixes of Avicii’s music. The process is simple: select any YouTube video, choose an Avicii song, preview and share your creation!  To tweak the remix, one can use the sync points between the video and audio timelines, so that a specific shot for instance, falls in line with a beat drop in Avicii’s track.
