CG-infused mini-movie for Seasons Seasons’ “Of Our Discontent” is a low budget, CG-infused, shot-in-LA mini-movie about Vera (Mahaley Manning of “Easy A”), a girl with speakers in her skin and no volume knob to control the music she’s constantly emitting. Vera’s “electro-acoustically challenged” condition is deeply unsettling, but she eventually finds a soulmate during a nightly downtown stroll. “The speaker-girl idea is something I’ve wanted to do in a video for a while now,” says director Chris Ewing of wastedpotentialproductions.com, “Seasons were game to flesh it out in a fun way that allowed for a bit of a character arc. Plus I wanted to teach myself a bit more about using CG even within our very limited budget.”
