Gorgeous music video for The Flaming Lips created by Dutch directors Iris Deppe and Roos Wijnen for Genero TV’s “Look…The Sun is Rising” competition. The promo was also short-listed for the Netherlands Film Festival’s online competition and, as far as we’re concerned, definitely stole the show (despite not winning the Tax Videoclipprijs)! Here’s what Iris had to say on her website about the making of the video: “Inspired by the overpowering tension in The Flaming Lips’ ‘Look…the Sun is Rising’, we aim to find out what happens if you take someone’s breath away. The promo is featuring friends of ours willing to endure the experience of suffocation. From extreme panic to ultimate relief, this video takes us on a delirious trip; hallucinations, fear, drowning, hysteria, bloodshot eyes, eroticism, flushed faces, death, ecstasy and love arise.”
