The (faux) Docu-Style Music Vid It’s an ongoing trend: the (faux) documentary-style music video. Upped this week on 2Pause: Daniel Wirtberg & Jonas Rudstrom‘s 2009 promo “Burial” for Miike Snow video. The promo opens with a gorgeous, albeit somewhat cliche footage of what appears to be ancient city of Varanasi at the Ganges River in “Beautiful India.” Sort of similar to “I Believe,” Simian Mobile Disco’s ’07 promo directed by Romain Gavras. Gavras used rural Romania and a bunch of colorful small town locals as the main subject of his video.
