Gorgeous atmospheric and motivational music video about people testing their limits, created for The Naked and Famous by ‘failed director’ (as he calls himself!) Campbell Hooper. If the name rings a bell, it is due to Campbell’s operating from 2007 as part of the multi-disciplinary studio: Special Problems. 2013 saw the two founding members Hooper and Joel Kefali working also on individual projects, delighting us with the opportunity of seeing the particularities of each of the two creative minds. Given the “Hearts Like Ours” promo, we can now assume that intercutting shots of very different but intriguing characters and making us think about the things they have in common, has always been a Campbell Hooper trade-mark. Looking forward to making more such discoveries!

2Pause | Freezing Music Video Culture

The world of music videos has traditionally provided a perfect breeding ground to test new visual styles, VFX and editing techniques. It has also proven to be an extraordinary springboard for some of todays most acclaimed film directors, such as Spike Jonze, Baz Luhrmann and Michel Gondry, to name but three. 2Pause is the second installment of our curated music video website. The old Pause website is still online here.
